What treatment technique will be used to straighten my teeth... In other words, will I need braces?

Invisalign, the industry leader in invisible aligners, will be utilized to straighten your teeth from the comfort of your own home.

Why is there a 0-3 office visit range?
All patients will start with a short 3-D scan of your teeth, photos, and an X- ray. This is what sets us apart, and makes us safer and more effective than the other online-only treatment options. If you already have an X-ray from your general dentist, an in-office visit might not be required. These records are all needed to assure that your treatment with us will be predictable and, most importantly, safe. Occasionally, attachments (which are very small, clear buttons that are temporarily attached to difficult-to-move teeth) will be needed to straighten some patients’ teeth. If attachments are required in your case, 2 office visits will be required to both place and remove the attachments at the end of your treatment.
Can I view what my expected results will look like after treatment?
Yes, a video that shows the transformation of your teeth and the expected final results will be emailed to you upon request.
How long is the typical treatment?
This can range anywhere from 3 months to 2 years depending on your teeth and bite. After your initial records are taken, you will be notified of your expected treatment time frame during your in-office/FaceTime/Skype consult appointment.
What happens if I have questions during treatment?
Easy! Email us with questions or photos anytime, or set up a digital video call appointment and we will be happy to answer any questions that you might encounter.
How often will I wear aligners?
Aligners are most effective when worn 20-22 hours/day (whenever not eating or brushing your teeth).
Will it hurt?
Some soreness after switching to a new aligner is common for a few days. It is a sign that the aligners are working. Dr. Sudit likes to describe it as similar to the first few days after a good workout. The soreness is not as great as the commonly-felt soreness after braces are adjusted.
Will I need to wear retainers after completing treatment?

Yes. What we now know is that teeth are always shifting due to bone loss and other factors. We recommend wearing retainers at night for as long as you want to keep your teeth straight 😉

Does my purchase include free teeth whitening?
Yes. All In-Home patients receive complimentary teeth whitening gel. This can be used to whiten your teeth during treatment.
